I've Missed You!
Crazy how time just gets away from us! My new year's resolution will have to be to post blogs more regularly:D First, let me give you my apologies for being away so long. Life has thrown me many curves, but we are dealing. My full time job has also taken a big junk out of my crafting and blogging time. But, the holidays are winding down and I should be able to spend a little more time in blogland:) Let's start with some pictures of Christmas projects. Today's is one that I actually made for myself! I designed this as I went one night and it just kept evolving. I love it! I sewed these individual muslin squares, filling them with batting. I freehand cut out the shapes and sewed some favorite buttons on them. Then, I couldn't decide if I wanted to connect them with jumprings and put them on a dowel, or what. I had this beautiful picture frame in my closet for about 5 years that I bought on an expedition to Ikea. I painted the inside board green and the rest just came together. I love it! I also love that I can always take my little squares out and display them differently if I change my mind later. What do you think?
Stay tuned! Tomorrow I have a tutorial for you:)

Touching base
Well, it's been almost a month since my last post. I apologize, but life has just been throwing us one curve after another. If you have been following my blog, you may or may not know that I was unemployed for 9 long months until I landed a wonderful job this past July. Well, last week my husband lost his job. This not only is devastating to us financially, but basically it's the first time he has ever experienced unemployment. The company he works for merged with another and he wasn't the only one to have lost his job. What's that saying "the bigger they are the harder they fall". Well, I think that applies to him, since he was making a computer manager's salary, and now, who knows.
So, I just wanted to let you know a little about what has been transpiring in my world. I have many crafting pictures to share with you. However, I'm out of town, actually in Denver for the week at a training course. I will make a point of posting my crafting goodies next week.
