Movie vs. Book

When my sister and I saw the Blindside in the theater, she asked me to read "Dear John", and then we would go and see the movie.  Well, my sister has two little girls and my two girls are adults, so her schedule is very different than mine.  I read the book and loved it.  Unfortunately, we never got to see the movie Dear John while it was still in the theater.  Today I watched it on pay-per-view.  I'm sorry to say, that I was disappointed.  The movie didn't emphasize some key components of the story, and it literally changed other key parts.  Whether you liked the movie or not, I would strongly suggest reading the book.  The book offers so much more substance and truly is a better story.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Gone Fishing

About 5 years ago I told my Mom that I had not interest in stamping...then I became a stamper and even a Stampin' Up! consultant.  I own 100's of stamps.  I also recall saying I would never enjoy coloring.  This past weekend I played with my Mom's Martha Stewart watercolor pencils and loved it.

I think this is where the saying "Never say Never" came from;D  Thanks for tolerating me Mom!
