Fun this weekend!

I hope you had a wonderful, safe, peaceful weekend!  I did!  Very low-key.  My husband worked (12hr night shifts) all weekend.  My daughter and I started the weekend off right by shampooing our carpeting.  We only have carpet on the second level, but my daughter has a puppy that just can't seem to figure out that we want her to do her job OUTSIDE!  So, I borrowed my aunt's brand new Bissel steam cleaner.  WOW!  I need one of those babies!  Really does a great job!  So ever since then I have blocked off the 2 cats and 2 dogs from being able to go upstairs (hehe)!  Sooooo nice to have clean carpets!  Thanks Aunt Renee!

So, here is one of the canvases I did this weekend:

Hand-drawn flower petals and stems, and some beautiful Wendy Vecchi, Studio 490 stamped foilage.  Love it!

New Card Class Featuring Bo Bunny

I just completed designing the following cards for a class at my LSS (local scrapbook store), Polkadots and More.  I just couldn't resist playing with the new set of Bo Bunny Ad Lib paper collection.  And, I even played with the infamous Glubers!  Fun!   If you are local to Mukwonago, WI, be sure to checkout the classes dates and times at www.polkadotsandmore.com.  Oh, and note to self: there were NO STAMPS used to make these three cards!  All paper-piecing!  Fun!

Family

My brother is in town to visit from Arizona.  We haven't seen him in 6 years.  We just spent a great evening having dinner at Mama Mia's and then at my other brother's house for drinks.  My cheeks are sore from all of the laughing.  My brother has a great memory as well as a great sense of humor. 

Looking forward to more laughs this weekend.  I'll be sure to share pictures tomorrow;D

I'm so happy to tell you that {ippity} has made some program changes which includes limiting the amount of {ippity} chicks (those that can sell their products).  And, I'm very proud to tell you that I have been approved as a Unity Endorsed {ippity} Chick! 

A new release is coming out the beginning of June, so stay tuned for some new "works of art";D 

Blah Monday;(

Ever have one of those days?  I woke up and must have slept pretty sound because I couldn't figure out what day it was.  My boss kept asking me what was wrong (as if I had some thoughts in my head).  Just one of those days.  And now my daughter is torturing me with Words with Friends (scrabble).  Can you believe this app let her use the word "arf"!! 

Happy Mother's Day!

This is the delicious breakfast my daughters made me this morning.  Homemade banana and chocolate chip pancakes.  Yum!  They even cleaned the kitchen afterwards!  (That was the biggest surprise:)

Then I went to visit my mother, who just came back this morning from a 10 day trip up north with my aunt.  They do this twice a year to make cards, gamble and just bum around.  They deserve it.  That's a great way to enjoy retirement;D

Art...It's a beautiful thing

You wouldn't believe how ugly this canvas started out.  But that's what I love about mixed media art -- you just keep working it until you love the results.  This girl really surpassed my expectations.  It was worth the wait!
