Weekend Happiness

Wow, what a busy week!  I'm so looking forward to the weekend;D  How about you?  I've been really focusing on living out my 2012 word "Fearless".  Funny though, I created these leather bracelets with engraved words on them and I keep wearing the "Brave" one.  Isn't "Brave" just another variation of "Fearless"?  I think so.  Anyways, I'm actually enjoying challenging myself every day.  It's pretty much affecting me in every aspect of my life.  I have even lost 15 lbs. so far in 2012!

The view out my back door this morning;)  Today's snowfall was beautiful!  And not too cold or hard to drive in.  Every time I think I would want to live somewhere else, a beautiful day like this happens and I change my mind!  Have a beautiful weekend!

Love to All!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!  And a very happy birthday to my Dad!  What a lucky guy -- sharing his birthday with so much love in the air!  Today I'm participating in the Fly Tribe's Love of Art Blog Hop.

In honor of this "lovely" day, I'm going to share with you one of my favorite projects:

As you can see, I had to go into my archives to share this one with you.  It really was a gift I made out of love for my husband on Valentine's Day 2009.  Today I'm going to make another one of these little canvas books with my 2012 take on it.  I'll share it with you on a later date.

Thanks for stopping by.  Now go -- spread the LOVE!

New Notecards

Old to New

Last week I went to Goodwill to find some good old books for altering.  I scored a couple.  But what surprised me was the nice wooden bread box that I bought for $4.99.  Perfect for decoupaging.  Of course I'm not going to be using it for bread.  I'm going to use it as a display of my small items for sale.  I might even alter it some more, but for now this is where it's at:

Journal anyone?

If you look around my house you will see all sorts of journals laying around.  I'm a journal-olic of sorts.  Some for writing, to-do lists, art, dreams, you name it.  I also love to have a project to stitch in the evenings when I'm sitting with my family in front of the TV.  It makes me feel productive, yet I find it so relaxing.  So lately I've been combining these two loves and creating refillable fabric journal covers.  If you want to see more, take a look at my shop, Linnie Blooms.  And yes, that is my original artwork printed on fabric and incorporated into the journal cover.  Fun!

Let me know what you think:)
