Earth Day
This time of year is perfect for cleaning out your closets and taking all of your unused clothing to Goodwill! Do you celebrate Earth Day in another way? I know when I was an active Girl Scout leader we used to meetup at a local park with garbage bags and clean up. What are you doing?

Balancing Life
Lately, I feel like life has been one huge balancing act. You would think since my daughters are adults, that I would have so much more free time to myself. Well, yes, BUT, you still need to be constantly making decisions on how you spend your time. I have a tendancy to push myself to multitask 24 hours a day.
I literally have to talk myself down, so that I can sit and be quiet. It's in these quiet times that I get even more inspiration about my life. I recently took an ecourse that involved sketching. I've always been a doodler, but I now have a new appreciation of sketching. I never thought I could sketch before (because that would take some sort of talent), but I'm kind of surprising myself. Thank you Junelle Jacobsen, for opening my eyes to this new form of relaxation!
I hope you have a balanced Thursday!

It Starts with Paper...
Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I was busy, busy, busy making and preparing for the Creation Craze Papercrafting Expo, which is in 12 short days -- April 13-14th. Since this is a papercrafting expo, I'm sure everyone is expecting handmade cards and scrapbooking. But, I like to challenge myself, so I've been pushing my thoughts to see what else I can come up with starting with paper. I thought I would show you a few this week.
Here's an example of how I took a project that involved paper-piecing a picture together, and turned it into something quite useful -- a step stool. I created the paper-piecing picture in one of my art journals during a class I was taking. I then scanned the picture, printed it on cotton fabric and decoupaged it onto the stool.
To see more of my "paper" products, I hope you will come by the Expo April 13-14th. Here's the website for all the details: Creation Craze website.
